Heavenly Father,
I come before You honestly. I have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed. I am not here with excuses — I am here with a broken heart.
I confess [name your sin specifically]. I knew it was wrong, and I did it anyway. I am truly sorry — not just for the consequences, but because I have offended You.
Lord Jesus, I trust in Your sacrifice on the cross for my forgiveness. Wash me clean. Create in me a pure heart, and renew a right spirit within me.
Give me the strength to turn from this sin and walk in Your ways. Help me make amends where I have harmed others.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
When You Don't Feel Forgiven
Feeling unforgiven after repenting is common — but feelings are not truth. God's Word is truth.
- • Psalm 103:12 — "As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us."
- • Isaiah 1:18 — "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."
- • Romans 8:38-39 — Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
If you continue to struggle, speak with a pastor or Christian counselor. You do not have to carry this alone.
