Is Divorce a Sin?
Divorce is viewed differently across the three faiths. Christianity generally discourages divorce, with Catholicism considering it impossible to dissolve a valid marriage. Islam permits divorce (talaq) but calls it the most hated of permissible things. Judaism allows divorce through the giving of a get (bill of divorce), though it is considered a tragedy.
