Is Abortion a Sin?
Abortion is treated seriously across all three Abrahamic faiths. Catholicism considers it a grave sin equivalent to murder. Orthodox Judaism permits abortion to save the mother's life and in some other circumstances. Islam generally prohibits elective abortion but permits it before 120 days and to protect the mother's life.
